Fernando L. Teixeira received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro respectively, the Ph.D. degree from the University of Illinois, and served as a Post-Doctoral Associate with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined the Ohio State University in 2000, where he is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Teixeira is a Fellow of the IEEE, a recipient of the Career Award from the National Science Foundation, and of the Outstanding Young Engineer Award from the IEEE Microwave Society (MTT-S). His current research interests include sensor physics and applied electromagnetics/optics.
